Water woes steadily increasing in Hyderabad

Comments(2) Sub Category:Civic Issues,Hyderabad Posted On: May 08, 2012

With the increase in number of residential buildings at Kukatpally in Hyderabad, the water woes of residents is also increasing steadily every year.

Insufficient supply of water is forcing the residents to depend on private water tankers.Majority of the bore wells in localities of Hyderabad has gone dry!

Midst these issues, the residents are facing tough time to get water tankers from water board or private operators.

The water woes situation is turning worse at areas such as Hasmathpet, Sumitranagar, Kukatpally Housing Board phase III, Vivekananda Nagar, Bhagyanagar and Allwyn Colony.

The private tankers are complaining about the Revenue Department officials for seizing their vehicles in the name of selling illegal water.

Neither is the government supplying water regularly to homes in Hyderabad nor are they permitting the private tankers to do so. The residents are fed up facing shortage of water issues.
