While I totally agree that it is wrongful encroachment on the part of the settlers to take up land that has been reserved by the corporation, it is also quite sad that the body has onky been able to claim back 15 out of the 480 + plots. Mostly the corporation has demolished existing encroachments to reclaim the land, such as the swimmimg pool of the Mint Homes property. Alternatively, the corporation has introduced a proposal to gather all residential welfare associations and voluntary organizations to help develop reserve sites into parks. They also want better improved water resources with a number of tanks lakes and water reservoirs, since the water supply in this area is really poor. Dude, if you’re seriously thinking about not installing this rainwater harvesting thing, then let me tell you that the corporation are doing regular checks on this. Yeah, and they are even disconnecting the water supply to any building that doesn’t have this harvesting system. So unless you want to run your household without any source of water, I’d advise you to install this thing. Well, my guess is that the fee shouldn't be high. Because, they will train for a lot of semi-skilled jobs, so they can’t charge a very high fee. The infrastructure around the area is best for IT parks and institutions, because of these the social infrastructure is well maintained. Connectivity is good. Buses, auto are available. The Airport is only 10km from here, railway station is 16 km. diverted the water from the Pillor pipeline towards Valavaddi. So, at
the moment there is consitant flow of water to the homes in Vadavalli.
However, you can never trust the municipal corporation as these problems
happen again and again. I suggest you ask around in the area about the
current situation of water. But as of now, from what I know, there
haven't been any complaints by the residents of Vadavalli regarding

This flyover is basically supposed to pave way for the construction of a completely new bus stand with in built shopping complex and all. That will replace the old Mofussil Depot in Gandhipuram with some parking multiplex.
