Adarsh case: FIR against ex-CM sought
On Tuesday an activist filed an application in the special CBI court investigating on the Adarsh housing scam case seeking the registration of an FIR against a former chief minister who was also a revenue minister.
On Thursday hearing will be done on the matter. Praveen Wategaonkar, an activist filed a PIL of case in Bombay high court. Against the politician he filed the miscellaneous criminal application.
Wategaonkar stated that in his power as a revenue minister in 2004, the octogenarian had at the instance of K L Gidwani, an indicted who is now dead showed undue favour to the society. His son in law was fixed a flat and was also granted membership to the society, said the plea. As per the activist the politician should be retained for criminal conspiracy under the IPC and criminal misconduct under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
