Ahmedabad is all set for tall buildings
Taller the structure, the more attention and visitors it attracts and Gujarat is all set for this.
The state urban development department has confirmed the development of a policy, which is in the pipeline, that will allow tall buildings to come up in Ahmedabad city.
A source in the department said buildings up to 40 meters in height are allowed by hospitals and hotel policies, however, the policy has also proposed buildings up to 70 metres high and even taller.
According to the source, problem regarding Floor Space Index (FSI) are being solved. Currently hotels and hospitals have been given an FSI of 4, but it will be hiked if taller buildings are being constructed.
