Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation devises master plan to tackle diseases
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has said that they are equipped to handle any crisis arising out due to various diseases in Ahmedabad. Officials at the AMC has said that this time that are better prepared than the previous years. Water-borne diseases are a nightmare to the people. Previous years there had had been many cases because of water-borne diseases like, jaundice, dengue and others.
AMC commissioner Guruprasad Mohapatra has said that master plan will be devised prior to three months. The corporation will hand over the responsibility of monitoring of the plan with a health committee that will consist of professors and medical professionals from the various colleges of the corporation. AMC has decided to get figures of cases of the diseases from the private hospitals. If the figures suggest that there has been a rise in such cases then action can be taken immediately.
