Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to keep cement garbage drum

Realizing that metal garbage drums a failure, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has now ordered RCC Cement garbage drum. The new containers will be placed near Kaanch ki Masjid, Khamasa, Bhatiyarwada, Mota Banba, Astodia and in certain places in Jamalpur ward.

With the new RCC bins, the AMC expects that residents and commercial centers around would dump their daily garbage in the bins. The step to keep garbage drums was taken as much of the waste generated in these busy and congested areas were burnt in heaps in open and Residents in these areas have been complaining of the lack of a system of disposal.

The metal garbage drums placed on many of the arterial roads of the city were proving to be a failure. With the new reinforced cement concrete (RCC) mix garbage drums the AMC expects residents and commercial centers around would utilize the same for dumping their daily garbage.
