Airtel moves court against BMC

Recently Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked renowned telecom service provider, Airtel to pay property tax on mobile towers which are put up on flyovers.
To this Airtel has filed a case against BMC claiming the tax is illegal in all ways.
The towers were set up on flyovers in April 2008 after Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) called for bidding on the same.
