BBMP and government together to develop roads
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is expected to repair major roads in Bangalore city measuring a total of 73 km at a total cost of 200 crore.
This project has come as a joint venture between BBMP and the state government Tender SURE (Specification for Urban Road Execution). The cost will be shared equally between BBMP and state government.
The BBMP has chosen 45 roads to be developed in the core city area. According to a Government Order (GO), the BBMP had initially chose 20 roads to be developed at a cost of Rs. 100 crore. After discussions, the number was increased to 45.
