BBMP held for additional fund usage
On the spotlight again, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for it’s additional usage of funds.
The expenditures of BBMP from March 2006 till November 2011 is Rs 22,338.05 lakh, which is considered a big amount.
There is no answer as to where this heavy amount has been used. These are supposed to be additional expenses spent by BBMP.
The Right to Information (RTI) Study Centre revealed the actual budget funds used by BBMP in Bangalore.
The State’s Fiscal Discipline Act and Karnataka Transparency Act has been violated by the civic body!
BBMP claim to have spent Rs 17,410.57 lakh under the Central Reserve Funds (CRF), however it has no records to show on which project the money has been spent.
