BBMP neglects growing weeds!
Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) has overlooked a ward of Bangalore in case of providing basic amenities to the residents. The part of the city facing the problem is Settihalli ward.
The ward include areas like Chikkasandra, Nisarga Layout, Someshwara Layout, Abbigere, Myadarahalli, Jalahalli West and Kammagondanahalli Muniswamy Layout.
In an earlier norm, the civic body had to take care of clearing the weeds and garbage in the area. Palike had to collect a nominal fees from the site owners after cleaning the plots.
But it looks like residents of Settihalli ward are exempted from any kind of penalty and thus the weeds are growing.
Vijayalakshmi Layout Residents have spoken to Mayor about the danger of overgrown weeds and possibility of snakes in the vacant sites. It is hoped the sites will be cleaned very soon.
