BBMP schools in pathetic condition!
Members of the education standing committee of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) have witnessed pathetic state of infrastructure as they visited some corporation schools in the city last week.
Due to inadequate classrooms, classes were held in the playground in Fraser Town BBMPÂ school. Another BBMP school in Cox Town did not have a toilet.
The SSLC pass percentage of the BBMP schools is only 56.31 per cent while the state per cent is 76.13 per cent.
Only six BBMP school students passed SSLC with distinction. 213 students passed with first class and 279 got second class. However, schools like CGHS Srirampura, where the pass percentage was 91.82%.
