Bharuch farmers protest devpt plan of PCPIR, BAUDA
To protest against land acquisition policy framed by Petrochemicals and petroleum investment region (PCPIR) and Bharuch Ankleshwar Urban Development Authority (BAUDA) a large number of farmers gathered at Bharuch.
The farmers appraising the concern about polices of both the authorities, reached collector’s office in a large rally, displaying banners of protest and submitted memorandum to additional collector.
“No proper information is passed on to the farmers, the draft development plan prepared by the consultant is having several mistakes, it seems that ground reality is not taken care in a plan”, said by Jayesh Patel, president Bharuch and Narmada district farmers association.
The strategy to acquire agriculture land in the name of the development is nothing but to grab land at very cheap rate from farmers. It seems that government wants to eradicate farmers from the land on Bharuch, Ankleshwar and Vagra.
Protesting will be done against it till the end, said Mavsang Parmar, president Khedut Hit Rakshak Samiti.
