BMC held meeting for expansion of parking plots
It is not just the two wheelers which demands the parking space, indeed the auto rickshaws do need the same! Similar is the scenario at Bhubaneswar.
Recently the auto rickshaw drivers in the city approached the government officials and civic body demanding parking slots for them.
In order to improve auto-rickshaw transport service and to discuss the issue put up by the rickshaw drivers a meeting was held wherein regional transport office (RTO) members, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and also city traffic police department.
Meeting also discussed about the darker side of autos services in the city. Wherein many of the traffic authorities said that they are receiving lot of complaints form the citizens in concern with these auto chaos.
The members who had attended meeting were surprised to hear that the auto drivers are faking identity cards which is mandated by the government.
Now, after this the municipal body as well as government is much concerned about the problems faced by the citizens from public transportation.
