Building norms gets more tougher in Darjeeling
The illegal structures in Darjeeling are now planned to get regularized.
After Darjeeling municipality imposed hefty fine on the property owners, finally.
Also ministers have asked the builders and developers to stop the construction of illegal structures.
May it be commercial or residential construction, the height of buildings above 11.5 meters is considered illegal in Darjeeling. This norm is strictly followed under West Bengal Municipality Act.
Also the Darjeeling municipality has decided to pass a mandatory rule of conducting soil tests before the commence of any construction in this hill station.
