Cash crunch pause MCD works in Delhi
The cash crunch has brought in lot of indifference midst the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the local councillors.
At the initial stages Rs. 2.05 crore was sanctioned to each of the MCD councillors to go ahead with the developmental work in concern with streetlight and sanitation, road repair and maintenance work.
However, finally only Rs 1.10 crore was sanctioned due to cash crunch in the government.
In this regard MCD councillors are not ready to work with the insufficient fund released, therefore chairman, works committee of MCD has directed engineer-in-chief to withdraw the developmental orders.
