Chandigarh Municipal Corporation held Sanitation Campaign to ensure aesthetic looks of city
Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (CMC) held a campaign recently and this was mainly to have a check on sanitation in the city. The medical wing of CMC urged this drive to inform residents of the city not to litter on the public streets, avoid dumping garbage all over the city in order to maintain proper sanitation in the city limits. Also the drive suggested the residents to clean the dumped wastes themselves in case of absence of the municipality work to avoid spread of mosquito breeding.
The drive was successful in acknowledging the do’s and don’ts in concern with maintenance of proper garbage system in the city. Preventive measures were written in placards and banners to inform residents to maintain the city clean. CMC promised the residents to build 40 more “safai karamcharis” under the supervision of municipal wing in order to maintain aesthetic look of the city.
