No Comments Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Oct 29, 2011
The residents of Chennai city are fed up with the bad maintenance of city roads, improper maintenance of drainage, over flowing garbage, tardy and bumpy roads, underground drainage, prolonged power cuts and many such. Finally the residents decided to voice out all these never attended and never ending civic problems to the concerned municipal officials. The Resident Welfare Association (RWA) in Chennai wrote a letter to the city mayor voicing out all the problems faced by them everyday.
One of the RWA member reported saying that there are nearly 50,000 residents surviving in each locality and all are facing on-going civic woes and add on to all these are heavy rainfall which is resulting in overflowing garbage and drainage systems, prolonged power cuts, improper drinking water supply and major issue cropped out in the locality is illegal encroachments of lands.
The letter to the mayor seems to be filled with complaint faced by the localities and the residents they themselves feel shameful to see the list of complaints in their locality. The residents are in a fair hope and are eagerly waiting for the response and the needful done for their welfare.
