Collapse of a footbridge injures 4 in Kolkata
A footbridge collapsed in Kolkata which led to four persons being injured. A part of the Rishi Ashram Bridge fell off into the Tolly’s Nullah at Paschim Putari. The bridge was made of concrete slabs and caused severe injury to one of the injured. Residents of the area informed that the bridge was repaired recently by the irrigation department fueling doubts in the credibility of the civic authority‘s work.
Of the four injured three sustained minor injuries and were treated with first. However the fourth victim was not so lucky as he sustained severe head and leg injuries.
