Corporation of Gurgaon orders hefty fine on Water Supply officials
The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has announced that private contractors providing water supply in municipal areas will have to pay a hefty fine of thousand rupees in case they are unable to provide water supply within twenty four hours. The MCG is inviting tenders to contractors to provide water supply in the zone. The water supply at present is provided by the public health department in the area and are crying foul with the announcement.
They have said that the MCG is just trying to delay the process of taking over the responsibility from it. However, this allegations are not being followed by the MCG saying that the outcry of the public health department is just to shroud its inability to tackle the problems. Previously also the corporation had taken similar measures but has failed to provide any concrete result from the past three years of its existence.
