Delay in green clearance
State expert appraisal committee (SEAC) has been delaying green clearances and this has brought a down feel in the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), Mumbai.
Therefore MCHI has put up the issue in front of the Union environment minister Jayanti Natrajan to get the case solved.
The discussion of same issue happened at the function organized by confederation of real estate developers’ associations of India (CREDAI) in Delhi.
However, the experts in the function said that SEAC’s screening process took two years for a project to get clearance long back.
Only because, SEAC is much concerned about the factors like; floor space index (FSI) and development control issues which is claimed to be more important than environment the delay is said to be happening.
