Delhi Mayor addresses RWC Convenors
The formalized RWC (Resident Ward Committee) Scheme has taken first step forward , Delhi mayor Rajni Abbi addressed a meeting of the convenors of the first 70 wards where RWC is so far been formed . The Mayor reported saying that the RWC scheme has the potential to introduce accountability and transparency in the Civic governance.
The mayor also adds on saying that “Every new idea needs resistance and there needs to be patience” and also that she was most often petitioned by councilors on the matter”. RWC has been constituted with one representative within the ward and this will be managed by the municipal councilor of the ward.
