DERC has to complete work within timeline

The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) from now onwards have to complete any given work in the time line, if not they have to be ready to shell out Rs 500 per day for inefficient service.
This mandatory rule is under the draft of Delhi Electricity Supply Code and Performance Standard Regulations, 2010.
Also, as the consumers during previous year were dissatisfied with the erratic service provided by DERC.
Therefore this stringent decision has been taken by the government.
