Development clearance for unauthorized colonies in Delhi
Delhi Government has sorted out issues with Archaeological Survey of India and Forest Department and declared planned development to be carried out in the 98 colonies which were awaiting civic amenities at par with others.
The executing agencies have been instructed to ensure better surroundings and sanitation for residents of the colonies.
The government stated that it is in process of getting clearance from Forest Department and Archaeological survey of India to regularize 212 unauthorized colonies which have come on forest land or are in the vicinity of centrally protected monuments.
The government is in its way forward to write to Union Urban Development Ministry seeking its intervention to resolve the issues raised by the Forest Department and Archaeological Survey of India.
