Development control rules under criticism
The Maharashtra chief minister agreed new development control rules (DCR) at Mumbai on Tuesday.
The implementation of this new rule is to eradicate the illegal practices in the realty industry.
However, the policy’s emphasis denied saying that this new rule gives a clear picture about the revenue Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) earns from the builders who have illegally constructed the residential or commercial buildings.
The process should also be highlighting the consequences of the building approval by the builders and the civic officials. There are many changes that has to be made in order to ensure sooth process in realty sector.

I have booked a flat in the month of feb,2012 . The total area booked is 750Sq.ft but the built up area is 517Sq.ft as given by the builder however from Jan,2012 as learnt that builder wil charge on built up area I feel that he should give me 750sq.ft built up area for use and not 517Sq.ft. Would you please clarify the same.
Thanks
