Doddakunta residents annoyed of liquor store
The residents of Doddakunta near Frazer Town are annoyed of a wine store, which has become a hub for drunkards from a nearby slum, located near the local bus stand, public library and temple.
The residents have been requesting the concerned authorities to take some action against Balaji Wine Store, which is at the entrance of Doddakunta, but in vain.
Residents complain of drunkards leaving liquor bottles and empty glasses near the store, which causes inconvenience especially for senior citizens, who visit the library nearby. Drunkards also use foul language and engage in fights.
It is difficult for the residents to organize cultural functions in the locality due to the disturbances caused by the drunkards also the residents hesitate to invite friends or relatives to their houses.
