DUSIB revises land price for public projects
Due to 55 kilometre long corridor of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Yamuna Vihar- Mukundpur line,around 1,000-odd residents of Trilokpuri in east Delhi were relocated. DMRC planned to construct new houses for residents on an alternate plot in the same area.
The total area of the land is 8000 square meters where this residential project will be constructed. This land belongs to Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB). DMRC will have to buy the land from Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board for Rs 1.88 crore per acre approx.
The metro corridor is situated between between Mayur Vihar Phase-I and Vinod Nagar. 156 plots housing some 1000 residents of block 15 of Trilokpuri part II is used as resettlement colony.
Although this decision was pending since long Delhi government, in a recent meeting the authority came up with new policy that the charge of the land will be increased by 30-40 times for selling.
Also Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board has decided to sell its land to DMRC as per circle rates. This decision has been approved in principle by DUSIB . In the meeting which was chaired by Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit also declared that, this will also be applicable on the properties sold to Delhi Health Services.
Moreover this new policy will increase the cost of land in Category A areas 35 to 40 times. According to sources, DUSIB has decided to implement new policy in 12 projects of which four projects are to be constructed by DUSIB.
For areas like Rajouri Garden in west Delhi, DUSIB has 5,286 sqm land under Category D. The price quoted for the land is Rs 56.23 crore, which was Rs 2.45 crore earlier.
