Gachibowli flyover to ease traffic in Hyderabad
The flyover, which is constructed in Hyderabad, at a cost of Rs 21.60 crore is expected to ease traffic congestion around Gachibowli and near Outer Ring Road (ORR). The Hyderabad Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had inaugurated this 1.45 km long Gachibowli flyover on Friday, 2011. The chief minister has dedicated the flyover to the people of Hyderabad and the traffic department has traced over 25,000 vehicles passing through the junction everywhere. Several developmental works are being taken up by the government to enhance the infrastructure of the city.
HMDA officials reported over the flyover costing nearly Rs. 21.60 crore and the road about 1,450 m long and 15.5 m in width. The service roads of the flyover is of length 14.10 m. The unique feature recorded over the flyover consists of 120 W LED streetlights with High Pressure Sodium Vapor Lamps and a total of 81 light poles have been installed at a distance of every 30 m.
