HMWSSB Hyderabad sought Funds to Construct 10 Sewage Treatment Plants
Sewage treatment plants (STPs) are to be constructed in various parts of Hyderabad. Secretary, ministry of environment & forests (MoEF), T Chatterjee who came to the city along with a team on Friday, to review the Musi project works, in principle, agreed to study the ‘detailed project reports‘ (DPRs) of STPs for further approval.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board ( HMWS&SB) has sought funds from the Centre to construct 10 STPs at various locations in the city under the Musi conservation project.
The team visited an STP at Amberpet and expressed its satisfaction over its performance and suggested that water board officials project it as a success model for other cities in the country.
