Honour to Chennai as a Flyover City in India

Chennai city infrastructure has seen a drastic improvement after the approval signed for the new flyovers all over the city. Chennai holds the credit of encompassing unidirectional flyovers which will be crossing with one another at varied heights at Velachery junction. Meanwhile Pallavaram in Chennai is ahead to construct longest flyover and Kolathur is ahead with the construction of a six lane flyover much wider in comparison with the other flyovers in the city. The three new upcoming flyovers is estimated to cost nearly Rs. 225 crores.

The highway officials reported saying that the committee inclusive of the representatives from Chennai Railway Department, Chennai Corporation and Metropolitan Transport Corporation also in concern with the Chennai City Traffic Police a committee meeting was held recently to finalize the infrastructure design for all the three flyover intersections. The design infrastructure has been taken initiative by a private firm by name Stup Consultants and the designs are structured in concern with land availability.
