HUDA Gurgaon on a Demolition Drive to Clear Enroachments
Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) demolition drive kicked off on Thursday to clear several encroachments, including roadside shops and squatters, in two sectors in Gurgaon. HUDA officials, accompanied by over 100 policemen, reached the Sector 12-A market.
The team then reached Sector 14 market where the RWA had complained about the illegal vegetable market that had come up outside the market complex.
The RWA had been complaining about the jhuggi cluster that had mushroomed alongside the wall encircling the market. The HUDA officials re-constructed the wall, which had been pulled down by the slum dwellers and warned them against causing any damage to the wall again.
