HUDA Gurgaon to Identify Damaged Roads
Residents of Gurgaon have forgotten what carpeting of roads is. The state of roads has further deteriorated due to heavy rains. Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and MCG officials are yet to start a survey to identify damaged roads in the city.
A visit to sector 15 (part I and II), sectors 17, 30, 31, 10, 10A, 9, 9A, 56, 57, 40, 44, 45, Shivji Park, Shivaji Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Patel Nagar, Krishna colony and Krishna Nagar presents a sorry state of affairs.
Giving his take on the issue, SP Ahuja, vice-president, sector 15 (part II) resident welfare association said, “A month ago, our road was carpeted but the same stretch has developed potholes within a month’s time.” It is difficult to pass through the road during the night hours due to the absence of streetlights. The authorities need to act at the earliest.
