Hyderabad gets Rs 1000 crore for infrastructural growth
Hyderabad- According to the commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the city is funded with Rs 1,000 crore for the year 2013.
The work of Rs 600 crore have been taken and the remaining will be funded to work under Greater Hyderabad Development Plan (GHDP) which were taken up last year and also to ongoing constructions of flyovers, link roads, footpaths and drains.
The list of works which has been taken up for the year 2013 are Road over bridge(ROB) at Kandikal (Rs 25 crore) crossing over the railway tracks in different parts of the city, Tolichowki flyover (Rs 50 crore), Road under bridge (RUB) of Uttamnagar (Rs 30 crore), RUB at Tukaram Gate (Rs 10 crore ), RUB at Uppuguda (Rs 10 crore). The Road over bridge at Kandikal is under construction and will complete soon. Few other proposed fly over are Ameerpet flyover (Rs 75 crore) and Balanagar-Narsapur junction flyover (Rs 90 crore).
The Lakdikapul bridge will be opened soon, Fatehnagar road under bridge (RUB)is ready for inauguration and road under bridge (RUB) at the Rail Nilayam is under progress. A big amount is also contributed for land acquisition, improvement of junctions, lakes, open spaces, rain harvesting pits.
Several key link roads and widening of roads will be taken up this year. The former includes the Hi-Tec City railway station to Borabanda road, Dargah to OU Colony (Serlingampally), Moosapet lake to railway line via IDL, Ambedkar University to Kavuri Hills, Madhapur to Moosapet to Malaysian Township, Madhapur to Raheja IT Park, Miyapur to Yellammabanda.
While the latter includes Saidabad, Barkas, Bazar Ghat, Moghulkanala to Puranapool, Rehmathnagar, Kavadiguda, Radhika Theatre to Old Municipal Office, Kothapet Crossroads to Nagole Crossroads, Botanical Gardens to old Bombay, Volga Hotel to Chandulal Baradari, Shad Café to Puranapool, Lalapet to Tarnaka, Shantinagar-Lalapet, Bank Colony to L. B. Nagar, Gandhibnagar-Jagadgirigutta road & Gajularamaram to Kukatpally.
All the above works are at various stages of completion.
