Illegal water connections traced in Surat

Three illegal water connections were traced out by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB).

Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) was receiving complaints flowing down since few weeks in concern with water pollution issues.

To ease residents of Unn Khadi from these issues immediately, GPCB gave a surprise visit to Gujarat Environment Protection and Infrastructure Company Limited (GEPIL) to check the prevailing of illegal water connections.

After the drive, GPCB officials explained that they have found three illegal connections at the depth of 200 metres in GEPIL premises.
