Illegally extended Roadside Buildings on a Demolition Drive in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has executed for a massive demolition drive on the buildings raised on the margin area of the city roads in Ahmedabad. These buildings have claimed to be illegally extended on the roads. Notices were served much before to these buildings to either pave way for ground floor for parking space or to get ready for demolition.
However only hand full of buildings seemed to have obeyed the orders of the notices. The remaining buildings on the Nehrunagar road and Iskcon stretch will soon have to bear the burnt of demolition drive. According to the statistics collected by AMC, nearly 30 shopping malls, Courtyard Marriott, Star Bazaar Iskcon Mall and Gulmohar Park have been found flouting norms and henceforth all of them will be demolished without any mercy.
The urgency for AMC to act upon it immediately is that, the traffic conditions are turning situations from bad to worse. Commuters in the city are finding tough time traveling in these roads, henceforth to pave way for hassle free traffic, road widening drive has been initiated by the state government. Meanwhile the commuters always wanted these roads to be widened and their dreams are coming true in near future.
