Know Your Resident Norms introduced in Karnataka

The Unique Identification Authority of India‘s (UIDAI) is introducing new norm scheme Know Your Resident (KYR+) in concern with the Adhaar project. This project has taken forward the Karnataka state in establishing the Resident Data Hub. Government has ensured the estimate of nearly 30% of benifits being enrolled in this scheme. The CEO of Centre for e-Governance, government of Karnataka, D S Ravindran reported saying that the KYR+ norms is introduced to get the data of the several different social security schemes and also the guidelines are given over the Adhaar workshop.
The Residential Data Hub is expected to be started by the end of 2012 financial year and this includes facilities such as LPG, society membership, IP set connection, social security pension and also ration card. All these will be reaching people through Public Distribution System (PDS). Once the scheme is enrolled then the beneficiaries will be added on accordingly, the officials added on. Karnataka state is under huge appreciation by UIDAI as a result of encouraging KYR+ norms. The concerned officials added on saying that this scheme will be introduced first in Tumkur and Mysore districts and also in short time Goa will be incorporated with KYR+ norms. All these improvements is expected once the framework of the Resident Data Hub is started.
