1 Comment Sub Category:Community,Court Orders Posted On: Dec 22, 2011

There has been many demolitions going on in cities based on illegal constructions or violating Floor Space Index (FSI).

Similar incident happened recently in a flat in Juhu, Mumbai where extra spaces including lily ponds and deck areas were demolished by BMC,

On July 30, municipal corporation ordered either the places taking extra floor space like ponds and balcony areas or the upper floors after vertical expansion to be demolished.

The high court has stated that at least before demolition, municipal commissioner should have heard the residents’ consent.
