LRS Applicants have to Clear their Dues
Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applicants were asked by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to clear their dues of penal amount and submit Urban Land Ceiling Certificate (ULC) by September 30. 15,790 applicants and plot owners are yet to pay the dues but are not doing it on time. Some plot owners have not submitted relevant documents to process their applications for the past few years.
If the dues are not cleared then plot owners have to pay betterment charges at the rate of Rs 150 per square metre and 14 per cent of the present market value of land towards open space charges at the time of obtaining building permission.
The GHMC says that the LRS balance penal amount could be paid at zonal offices on September 10 and 11 public holidays. The applications will be rejected after the due date.
