Mandatory for a Developer to sell Property as per the Carpet Area in Mumbai

Comments(2) Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Sep 16, 2011

The Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) has come up with a rule to strengthen its mechanism to clear the issues. The new method of the rule is mandatory for the developer to sell the property as per the carpet area. Environment certificates and a title clearance certificate along with the other approvals before accepting bookings for a project in Mumbai has been promised by the body who manage the leadership of monitoring the builders.

MCHI President Paras Gundecha reported saying that in case a developer fails to follow their code of conduct then the membership of the builder will be cancelled. The President of the Co-operative Societies Residents Users & Welfare Association Advocate Vinod Sampat has a different opinion that the MCHI is setting up a self-regulatory body in order to control malpractices in real estate. Only one per cent of the developers have obtained conveyance deeds and certificates before starting a project and the irony the buyers who register a complaint to the grievance cell is ending up paying a Demand Draft of Rs.1,500 which is not be admissible in the eye of law.
