March quarter was better for real estate
The execution of projects and sales bookings had improved for the real estate firms in the quarter ended March (Q4) than in the preceding three months.
The real estate companies struggled to improve the sales and profit in 2011-12 as the economy slowed. The realty index on BSE has dropped nearly 24% in the past year.
Though the sales number has increased in the last quarter, the concerns remain same over the debt amount and cash flow.
DLF, Unitech have posted a higher revenue margin in the quarter ended in March 2012.
Analysts found Bangalore as a good market for real estate sales and also analyzed the Gurgaon market deteriorating after a couple of quarters because of speculators.
