MCD to fund RWAs annually for expenses
Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has decided to fund the local Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) for daily expenses.
Prior to municipal elections which is to be held in April, this initiative has been taken.
A fund of Rs 12000 will be given annually by MCD for daily office expenditure. The allocations of funds were earlier requested by the RWAs, which was readily accepted by the civic body.
Currently, there are almost 2000 RWAs in the city and MCD has to allocated Rs 250 lakh to them accordingly.
