Metro cutting down greens in Bangalore city

No Comments Sub Category:Community Posted On: Jan 11, 2012

The Metro Phase I in Bangalore demanded chop down of around 432 trees and half of the greenery were cut down.

Now its Phase II turn which is demanding the fall of around 764 trees. However, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) has promised to plant back 10 saplings for each tree cut down.

With the on growing infrastructure, there is a severe threat to environment and balancing this will be a toughest task indeed!
