Mumbai residents encourage healthy lifestyle
There is a walkathon event, organised by the mumbai residents, to initiate people to walk for good health and sustainable behavioral change in their lives.
The “walkathon Walk for Health” is sponsored by Max Bupa Health Insurance Company.
The company has planned to cover this event in 11 cities and participants from all age groups could register for the event.
Gagan Bhalla, Director, Operation and Strategy, Max Bupa, said that this walkathon is a part of spread awareness on healthy lifestyle and to adopt walking.
According to reports, one car journey a week to walking, traffic levels would reduce by at least 10 per cent. Kunal Kapoor the actor has flagged off the event.
Even the study by an insurance company shows that ,13 per cent of men and 15 per cent of women in India use their cars for traveling short distances, which leads to less exercise and more traffic.
