Mumbai skyscraper projects approved
Development proposal for 78 skyscrapers over 70 meters of height across Mumbai city has been approved by Civic authority Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and its high-rise committee.
Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) has welcomed the decision to approve these development proposals.
Paras Gundecha, President of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry, said they are hoping to get approval from the environmental committee within four months. If the approvals are done faster, developers can save interest cost which will benefit consumers too, he added.
However, the developer’s body was disappointed when the committee did not favour the proposal of building high-rises on smaller plots. The committee believes the city has exhausted its horizontal limits.
