The IP extension residents in East Delhi have been complaining that they have been cheated nearly lakhs of rupees by the company of several brokers belonging to the same area. The residents are said to have lodged a complaint over this cheating issue at Preet Vihar police station located in the same area. A senior Police officer reported saying, the complaint lodged by the residents seem to have taken a strong ground and the officers are planning to transfer this complaint to the Economic Offences Wing of the crime branch only if the total cheated amount crosses Rs. 1crore.

Shika Jhingan, an assistant professor of journalism in a south Delhi college reported saying that when she was aboard to lodge a complaint over this issue, the concerned officers were said to have absconded and she also added on saying that she was asked to sign in the share transfer form which was supposed to be illegal but the company is still insisting that this act was completely the company manager’s fault. The residents are in a state of shock when the house brokers cheated them.
