New land transfer policy for YEIDA

Yamuna ExpresswayDelhi NCR : The land transfer policy of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA)  has been changed. Now the allottees are required to enter to “ agreement  to lease” with the authority in order to transfer their allotments.

The new policy totally have replaced the old policy which stated , allotments could be transferred without entering into agreements. According to the authority the old policy has given birth to huge black market business.

This  policy will control the land transfer from hand to hand as they need to enter the agreement to lease policy. The total procedure will also increase the revenue of the Government in terms of stamp duty paid through registration of plots.

Senior authority official claimed that, the loss is due to the practice of exchanging state’s account in terms of non-payment of stamp duties. The new policy of land transfer has already been approved by the board of Authority.

This policy is not applicable for the landowners who have plots located near khasras of villages , as they various land acquisition cases.
