New traffic routes in Manglore due to Yatra

Mangloreans will have to take a recourse while commuting today as BJP leader L K Advani’s Yatra will pass through Mangalore today. The new curbs will be implemented  on both traffic and parking places on October 31, 6 am onwards.  Advani is scheduled to address a meeting at the Rajangana Ground. Vehicles arriving for yatra will be allowed to park at DAR Ground on the city police commissioner/district police office premises,  one side of post office road and Rosario Road, one side of Old Kent Road, and Mangaladevi Temple Road.

Parking on both side of the stretch from Kottara to Mulki along National Highway 66 is banned. This curb will continue till the Yatra passes the Mangalore police limits at Mulki. Similar parking restrictions is also valid on both sides of the road from Mangalore Airport at Kenjar to Circuit House junction. Parking of vehicles on either side of road from Circuit House-KPT-Nanthoor-Shivabagh-St Agnes College-Horticulture junction-Balmatta-Dr B R Ambedkar Circle-Hampankatte-U P Mallya Road-A B Shetty Circle has been banned. Similar restrictions will also be put on  A B Shetty Circle to Kuntikanal.
