New urban development scheme in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu as such is very much improved in many sectors but the state government has decided to initiate an ‘Integrated Urban Development Scheme’ for its betterment.
The government have decided to take care of basic infrastructure, roads, drinking and sewage water, drainage and health sector under this scheme.
A total of Rs. 6,653 crore will be spent as per the plans.
Development of corporations and municipalities along with town panchayats is planned in the first phase with a cost around Rs 757.28 crore.
Various segregations have been made on the price allotted for the development purpose keeping in mind the amount of work to be done.
