No electricity for 24 hours in Mayfield
The residents of Mayfield Gardens in Gurgaon suffered without any electricity and water for more than 24 hours as their transformer of 630 KVA power got burnt on Saturday night.
Government bodies, like Town & Country Planning Department and HUDA said they were helpless and asked the residents to sort out the problem on their own. Praveen Kumar, HUDA administrator, went to the site as well but said that he was helpless in the matter.
Residents said that they have been living without any electricity and water supply since Saturday night. Also they were facing water issues and sanitation for the last 15-20 days and they often complained to the government officials about it, but in vain.
Later, the resident welfare association (RWA) of Mayfield Gardens, which houses more than 400 families, collected Rs. 3000 per family and replaced the transformer with a new one.
