No Flood Disasters from 2013 says Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

Pumping stations are been planned off to be installed in Mumbai city to avoid damaging after consequences of the floods. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has planned well to install the same in almost 67 flooding areas in the city. However this plan can take floors only when BMC completes storm water disposal (Brimstowad) project. The underground drains, widening and deepening of nullahs and also mainly construction of storm water pumping stations will be the schemes included under this project.

The Municipal commissioner Subodh Kumar reported saying that, nearly 14 similar projects are already completed out of 58 works and by the end of the year 2013 he promises of no flood damages happening in the city. Meanwhile the officials claim that they will do the needful to the denizens of Mumbai, and the officials requested the residents to wait for some as the project is impossible to be completed by overnight. By the end of year 2013, BMC has reported to launch two more pumping stations at Love Grove and Cleaveland in the city.
