No increase in GHMC property tax
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has confirmed that there would not be any hike in property tax in the city.
Commissioner of GHMC has announced that to meet the target of Rs 720 crore for next financial year 2012-13, it would not increase the property tax.
The current property tax demand of Rs 800 crore will remain as it is and the tax employees will be doing rounds to include all the properties under the tax slab.
The state government fears that if the demand for property tax increases than it will add more burden to the common man.
